October Pharma S.A.E was promoted by Dr. Adel Fouad in 1987 as a Joint Stock Company to be in the business of Research, Developing, Manufacturing and Marketing of Pharmaceutical Products for Egyptian and International markets . October Pharma (OP) was founded under the Foreign Investment Law #43/1974 – (Amended by Law #230/1989). .
OP started its production in 1993 with value of 918,523 EGP till it reached 176,000,000 EGP in 2010 with CAGR of 45%.
First Success:-
In the first year of its production, OP achieved a sales figure of 918,523 EGP. The company's first product was Nitromack, which is a Cardiovascular drug.
The Journey:-
Since then the company has introduced many dosage forms into the market. By 1995 it had dosage forms in Cardiovascular, Anti-cold, Diabetology, GIT, Hepatic, Multivitamins and OTC segments. By 2009 OP has reached a sales value of 148,000,000 with a CAGR of 45%.
Today:-
OP , which began its operations as a single unit with 20 employees, today OP is building its 2nd manufacturing facility and employs around 800 people. It has an on-line data for Analysis and decision making. Consistently ranked among the fastest growing pharmaceutical companies in the country, OP is utilizing its collective experience to kick start its future plans as a global company.
